To much bands these days – all gloomy and with bad production. I must say I wasn’t to excited to spin the BASEBALL BAT EP of a band called PINK HEARSE. I mean, what can be behind this name? I was afraid before some band joking and farting all the day.
Then I read “Zombie Rock’N'Roll” and thought how cool is that. And then my speakers exploded. First there was the guitar, which sounded a little bit like Sisters Of Mercy. Then came Motörhead and a very nasty version Janis Joplin performed vocals. This is pure fucking rock’n'roll, I loved it from the first minute! It has everything a rock band needs: dirt, insanity, fuck off mentality. Vocals are funny (remembers a little bit on Scary Bitches). The other two songs of the EP Baseball Bat and Fingers are of the same style. Like the “Surfin USA” band years before just without scooter but with bikes. The sound of the production is very, very good, it has some steam behind. This is a live band and the songs tell me we rocker goths should go out and have pure fucking armageddon party with them.
What a surprise – thanks for being brilliant! If you love one of the mentioned bands and tight rock’n'roll you should get this EP AND eagerly wait or a full version!
