0.68 is a great and obscure doom band from south germany. You know that guys from the TODESKVLT CD-R of my shop. Great, destructive stuff. Now they are looking for a label for their brandnew stuff and uploaded two new tracks to the internet. And yes guys, this new stuff is really great! You can listen to that shit at their MySpace site.
The sound is extraordinary cool and it feels very strange to my ears in the todays metal scene. However, I like it very much. You better watch this band too, since they have made a big step forward in their musical development. The two promotional songs with which they are looking for the new label are very groovy and are rocking like hell. I like this new o.68. Give them a sping an let me know what you think.

As I told you before a while, I tried to get some copies from CHAOSGOAT demo THE PITCHFORK CHRONICLES in my shop. Well, I succeded! If you are interested in this totally obscure stuff, get the music at my shop!
This doesn’t necessary mean that my shop becomes big: there are only 5 copies left (ok, and 5 more pre-orders without payment) of BARATHRUMs LONG LIVE SATAN. I expect this CD-R to be sold out before the first of march. If you want one of the last copies you better hurry up!
Yours,
Cy

Dear friends,
these days a very unique band introduced themself with a brandnew demo. The band is CHAOSGOAT (Esp) and the demo is named “The pitchfork demos”. You can also check them out at MySpace and risk an ear yourself. You should know that CHAOSGOAT is a project of the guy behind mighty REDIMONI, a great thrash band.
Not much of you will remember the great australian band LEVIATHAN which brought us the great release ILLUSIONS OF A LIFE IN A WOMB. I have not found any bands out there which could give me the same destructive, cold feeling like LEVIATHAN could give to me. CHAOSGOAT is the only band so far which can reach this. The sound of the drum machine is like metal hitting on metal. The very strange sound of the guitars make you feel like you are on a party of satanists, dancing round the fire, driving motorcycles and having some fun with doing perverse rituals. There was a film back then… was it the crow were that satanists party has been shown? However, I have waited long for such a band!
Think on Impaled Nazarene with Leviathans sound. Mix some punk and more industrial into it and shorten all songs to 2 minutes. This is CHAOSGOAT. I asked the CHAOSGOATs for selling me some demos for the shop. If you like the music and live near to germany, you may want to order it from the GHUL SHOP. I’ll give a shout when its available. Whatever you do, if you like strange and destructive feeling outside todays metal standards, risk an ear to CHAOSGOAT. I would daresay: this is a punk/industrial band, more than a metal band. So guys please listen to it and let me know what you think.
Yours,
Cy Ghul

Well, after Gumo decided to quit with THARGOS and continue with GumoManiacs we all knew why that happened: my lack of time for playing concerts and several murder threats made it impossible for him to perform a professional thrash band.
Well, his music was always very cool and professional. But now he was astonishing us! Gumo Maniacs play live as a support act together with Blaze Bailey in Ingolstadt in a few month. Holy mother! This is pushing the band forwards a lot!
I will try to contact the organizator of the tour and hopefully I can take some photos. We’ll see. Usually I am sick like hell with flu when some cool concerts happen.
However – lets hope Gumo puts a good website online soon. The old one is horrible!!

Oh my. As I started to work on the BARATHRUM project i didn’t think that I would become SO MUCH support and SO MUCH orders at once. I have more than 50 packages prepared for my postal office, and yes, people are trying out the CULTES DES GOULES CD-R aswell and order it too. Well, are this my good prices? No, I guess it’s just a sign of life from BARATHRUM people waited so long for. Well thanks. My days have become true office days in the catacombs, but I am glad about it. I nearly have my money back, and thats what I wanted. Great shit.
However, I wanted to do some music again, for the 7″ I allready told my readers. But at the moment? Impossible! BARATHRUM needs my full attention right now and music has to wait for another week. And: Mortiis crawled out from his studios and told me that he urgently needs new banners on his website. Well, I did so. The Banners are online, even when they are a bit unordered. Levi does care about that and I guess I will have some more work here to do aswell in the next days.
And Mortiis also told me to create some kind of gig calendar. You all know that this man knows what he does / wants, and even if I don’t know bout the old trolls plans, I guess there might be some concerts again. I remembered the last show he played in munich, which was wonderful. I really liked it. Great stuff. Hopefully that rumours is becoming true and we met up on a Mortiis tour. We’ll see.
OK, that’s all for now. If something new occurs, I’ll let you know. Just read my blog.
Yours,
Cy Ghul
P.S.: If you are confused by the title: the tons of work in my little studio here wake even the laziest dead!

Dear all,
the last weeks tons of pre-orders have flooded my mail inbox. I decided to put an end to this and open the shop for your pre-orders If you pre-order, you’ll get a special price on the latest CULTES DES GOULES CD-R. Well, check out my shop.
For all of you who are still unsure about the CD-R, check out my downloads page. I have added some excerpts from LONG LIVE SATAN lately. For the cutted MP3s, but several legal restrictions here in germany forced me to do so. However, you’ll get a good idea of the sound of the album.
While I am at it, just a few words about the release. There have been several discussions about the CD-R and I would like to take the chance to clean up. Some people are wondering about the ridiculous limitation to 100 copies only. Well, please note that we are making a CD-R. Burning a unlimited number of copies makes my life to hell. I have now 100 pieces on my desk and that was hell enough Second, the sound of the CD-R is not the best sound ever. This release is meant for die-hard fans. And those people who are always on track with BARATHRUM will find their way in time to this CD-R.
Then some people claimed that the CD-R is just a best of. Well yes, thats common use with that live recordings stuff. And the CD-R has been recorded in 1996, YES THINGS HAVE CHANGED since then. For example, BARATHRUM has brought out new cool releases.
About the cover, some people don’t like it. Well, I do. I guess Demonos does like it too. This is just a matter of taste and we’ll not change it. Even if hell would break loose people are demonstrating before my house, I will not change it.
OK, thats all for the moment. Hope those of you claiming about these and that will be satisfied by now. At least I am doing LONG LIVE SATAN cause I am worshiping BARATHRUM. Demonos gave me his OK for bringing this out even knowning that the sound is not perfect. I guess he want to give his fans what they demand for long time, namely a live release. And it was much fun to help him and much fun to speak with all those fans who allready contacted in matters of BARATHRUM. Hope you understand all the reasons which makes LONG LIVE SATAN to a very special release, with a atmosphere underground sound and some edges. Hope you’ll love the recording as I do! Thank you!
Yours,
Cy Ghul
